Trichy Corporation has successfully erected a solar power plant with a capacity of 9.6 megawatts (MW) in Panjappur, which spans 33 acres of land. The facility was installed at a cost of ₹53 crore.
It is anticipated that the solar power plant that was constructed as part of the Smart Cities program will result in a savings of ₹9 crore for the yearly power consumption of the municipal corporation.
